Rolling back the years...

If you could go back to being a 20 year old again...What would you change the second time around?

I think mine would be to give some of my partners more of a chance, save relentlessly and not to worry so much about other people's opinions.

Great question.Wouldn’t fundamentally change anything as I’m happy in career and with the same man
I would try worry less though. I worried about grades, progression, very serious and driven. I literally had nowt to worry about

youreactinglikeafunmum · 04/07/2025 18:51

Get weight loss surgery tbh, thats it x

IAmNeverThePerson · 04/07/2025 18:52

Having lost the weight and got fit and would have maintained it

kerstina · 04/07/2025 19:21

Stop getting so anxious . It is an absolute waste of your energy and your life.

DirtyBird · 04/07/2025 19:39

Ahhh so many things lol

I would've not gone to the expensive university I went to, it wasn't worth it.

I would've appreciated the good man I had in my life at the time, and not taken him for granted (and thinking that most men were like him as I have found out the hard way many aren't)

3luckystars · 04/07/2025 19:41

I’d be the opposite and would give boyfriends less of a chance. Would ride rings around myself and wouldn’t give a shite about ‘settling down’ either.

theunbreakablecleopatrajones · 04/07/2025 19:42

worry less

manage money a million times better

travel more

Pebbles16 · 04/07/2025 19:43

I would have not given so many fucks - one of the advantages of being older is that the energy I expend on worrying about what other people think has decreased considerably.
Apart from that, I'm fairly happy with most of the decision I made.

ShaunaSadeki · 04/07/2025 19:45

Save money.
if it wasn’t for DS it would be get rid of useless boyfriend, but I couldn’t be without my boy
stop being such a people, pleasing sap
Dont settle

bookdook · 04/07/2025 19:48

Not going to uni & worked full time in my weekend/holiday job and bought a property with one of those 95% interest only mortgages. I would be rich now!

Somnambule · 04/07/2025 19:50

Focus on myself rather than trying to be popular, and especially trying to please men. Drink and smoke less and travel more.

Daisychainsandglitter · 04/07/2025 20:52

Not drink so much. I was an utter mess late teens/early twenties.

Kimwestonhelpless · 04/07/2025 21:56

Pack the drugs in.

BlueEyedBogWitch · 04/07/2025 21:58

Dumped my boyfriend, travelled the world, realised I was actually quite lovely, moved to London, got into publishing or IT and had more sex relationships.

IfonlyIcouldthinkofaname · 04/07/2025 22:14

Loving the great comments...Keep them coming...

Btw I'm glad not to be the only one wanting to re-write history....

Open a stocks and shares ISA, set up a small amount to dribble into a fund each month and forget about it for twenty years.

PizzaSophiaLoren · 05/07/2025 08:11

I’d do it all so differently. The biggest one is that I wouldn’t get with DH.
