We’re seriously considering moving back to our home county after 20+ years away. It’s about 140 miles from where we are now which is on the outskirts of a very expensive and increasingly busy city.
The idea is to hopefully improve our quality of life ( more green space and less populated county) get a lot more for our money property-wise and financially help support our son with independent living plus be closer to family support as all our family are still around the area.
Both work from home so no job hunting involved.
One of the biggest reasons behind the move is our young adult child, who has SN (medical and educational). We’re hoping the change might bring more support and a better environment overall, but we know it’s a big step especially when it comes to organising an educational setting and services he will need and that’s when the doubt and anxiety kick in despite already doing lots of research.
Has anyone done anything similar? I’d be especially interested if you moved with a child or young adult with additional needs.
