Any Uber experts here ?

Trying to setup a family member on my account. I have created them as a family member in Uber and they got the link and their Uber app now shows as having my payment details (which was the plan).

However, if I book a ride for them, is there a way to get their Uber app to pick the ride details up as if they had booked the ride themselves ?

They are partially sighted so can't use the app themselves, so I am booking for them remotely.

I've spent the past 30 minutes spinning around the app and website and cannot find any help whatsoever 😒

If they can't use the app why do they need to look like they booked it themselves? Surely you can just book an Uber for someone else from wherever you are? If they can't see or use the app then just tell them the reg number and ring them when the car is right near them?

If you select plan a ride, then at the top of the screen it will have drop downs for when and who- it defaults to asap and you, but your family member will be in the drop down. I’d screen shot but of course my app has mine and my family members names!

You can book an uber to pick up at an address where you are not at and drop off to another address
Ive done this for DS and they dont bat an eyelid that he's a 6ft bloke and not a woman per my profile pic!

Ok, I cropped them enough- so instead of typing in the Where to box, just tap on it, then you can see the plan your ride and select them under the one that says For me

Yes. That's what I have set up. However, when I booked a ride for them, I still got all the updates. Which wasn't what I was wanting.

Yes. It looks like it's better to book a ride for them as a guest so then they get the updates (including knowing the Reg number and name of the driver).
