2 different shitty driving situations today…
- I drive regularly through a very busy and big town centre, it’s a one way system (2, sometimes 3 lanes) and often you get people indicating at the last second and thinking they can move over into your lane the second their indicator goes on, despite there being not much room or notice to do so… which obviously results in me having to harshly brake to let them in. So this happened (yet again) today but I’m used to it so whatever. I followed this car for a few mins, he was driving like an idiot (super close to the car in front and due to on/off traffic he had to keep braking suddenly). Then we got to a roundabout and he changed lanes but realized he was again in the wrong lane so indicated to come back into my lane. Admittedly I could have just let him in, but there were no cars behind me or him so I carried on driving without slowing down, expecting him to have seen there is plenty of time and room to let me pass (considering we were side by side at this point) THEN move over into my lane.. but no… he literally started to move into my car?! He was moving into my lane but by the side of me and I had to beep him to get him to stop?! What the hell?! The best part is that he then beeped me?!
- The second incident was on the same one way system (3 lanes), I was first in queue, lights changed to green, myself and car to my right accelerated at the same time, car to my right drives straight into my lane instead of following his lane. Again, inches away from my front bumper and I pretty much had to emergency brake.
What is wrong with people? Do they use their mirrors? Do they actually get around safely day-to-day or do they crash and repeat?
I just don’t understand.
