Has anyone had this from CMS - what does it mean?

My ex is on collect and pay.

I've just received this. What does it mean? How can they have failed to collect from his wages?

Does it mean he's quit his job (as he has threatened many times) or something else?

Any help would be very appreciated.

It's a pittance anyway but I was relying on it to help through the summer holidays.

The writing might be too small, but it basically says they have failed to collect so they will call him and ask him for it?

After many non payments it got moved to collect and pay though so I don't understand.

It could just mean that the company he works for messed it up and forgot to deduct it.

I don't have personal experience of the CMS but I have worked in the finance team of a company that were a bit rubbish on payroll stuff.

Collect and pay doesn't necessarily mean that it is coming straight his wages. He could have arranged a standing order with them and they pay you when that is received so they might not have received it yesterday from him.

They may move now to try and garner it directly from his employer as he hasn't stuck to the arrangement of paying them directly, but they'll probably just tell him to pay them ASAP by another method.
