Just 'because' Present for Partner - Help...

I want to buy my Partner a gift, to be delivered as a surprise, he has been great and supportive lately, and I want to show how much I appreciate him. He doesn't like it if I spend a lot of money on him. I am stumped.

Anyone have any unique ideas?

TIA

Well, what is he like? What does he enjoy? Hobbies? Interests?

He is an engineer. He loves a Project, hobbies are varied. Cycling, model making, amateur gardening.

Something from the Victorinox website.

https://www.reddit.com/r/EDC/ This is gun heavy but at times I find myself checking out the little storage pouches and other bits and bobs and looking them up. And then sometimes I wish I had a need for … something …

Does it have to be a gift he could unwrap? You can make a cute video with the photos and videos you have of him, add short texts (things you appreciate about him, things you're thankful for, etc) and inner jokes, put his favorite song as a background music and play it to him or email it to him when he doesn't expect it. Here are also some romantic slideshow ideas that might be useful.
It's a bit cheesy, but some people love being told how much they're appreciated, so it might be a good idea!

Does he have a hori hori knife yet? That's a great gardening gift if not - or look at other bits on the Niwaki website.
