I am thinking about booking a last minute caravan holiday with Parkdean, but the pricing on their website is quite unclear as to what the base price includes, such as does it include all entertainment and use of pools etc? Also not sure if we need to bring things like bedding and our own kitchen utensils etc. Any help and insight would be very appreciate from people that have been.

We've been going to Park Dean resorts since I was a child!

If you book through their website it includes seasonal passes for the entertainment, pools and play areas/equipment. The kitchens are normally really well stocked with pans and utensils etc, you just need your own food.
The beds are nicely made up so you don't need your own bedding.

It's a great holiday though. The restaurant food, if there is one on your site, can be expensive. And I would advise checking if their pool is via a booking system because sometimes during peak times they put one in place. Our favourite site has a huge arcade which our kids love so take plenty of change 😀

I used PD last year. Kitchen has all utensils so only need tea towels and food. They provide bedding but need own towels and toiletries.
They even had a hairdryer in main bedroom

We've just been for a weekend. Entertainment passes were included, so that got us into the pool etc. Also bedding was included, but not towels, toilet roll or washing up liquid.

Take your own chopping board, decent knives and mugs. The basics are there but those few bits from home help things along massively.

Because we are booking last minute I am slightly concerned that we won't get access to the pool, as it states advanced booking adviced then has a ridiculous timeframe of around 10 weeks in advance. Has this been an issue for anyone? It is the Crimdon Dene resort that I am looking at.

That's ridiculous! No the booking system at the one I go to is just for the next few days. You can even stick your name down on the form at the pool if you're going the next day. 10 weeks is insane, they shouldn't let people book that far, just 1 week at a time x

I went to a different site in school summer hols fairly recently and we were able to book additional slots for the pool the day before we wanted to go whilst we were there. To be honest the pool didn't seem that popular when we went, it never seemed to get that busy. I don't know if a different or bigger site might be more difficult to do that. Perhaps call the site direct and ask them?

I've just come back from a parkdean in IOW. We had a lodge booked (one of the upgraded caravans) Bedding and towels were included. Kitchen is well equipped but they didn't supply washing up liquid or a tea towel but did supply a washing up sponge.
There was no booking needed at the on site pool - but some times the pool was only open for caravan owners (but that was usually first thing in the morning).
We really enjoyed our stay hope you do to!
