WTF is this between teenage son's toes?? Yucky pic warning

Son has come back from uni and has shown me a lump between his toes. Today it is bleeding and so it is difficult to make out what it is, it is the size of a largish pea. He took a pic last week before the bleeding started. He says it is getting sore. Has he seen a GP or pharmacist? Of course not. I shall be packing him off there asap. In the meantime, any ideas???

If it's a wart, don't buy all the expensive stuff that doesn't work, get Salactol, salicylic acid paint on stuff from the chemist for about £3.50.

Oh I used a cyro treatment on my DS which worked brilliantly. Boots own brand from memory - worth every penny.
