Three arrests in Letby hospital investigation https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c62ddkde7y5o

Just spotted this on the bbc, slightly surprised as I thought the conviction looked increasingly unsound. It seems like police / cps are doubling down though.

Lucy Letby's lawyer would like you to believe the conviction is unsound. His PR campaign is very effective.

There seems to be an awful lot of experts who feel the case was unsound. I’ve never heard of another case where a bunch of experts have funded themselves and come forward to say that they believe that the evidence was flawed. Perhaps it is just PR but would world experts put their reputation on the line (for free) unless they genuinely believed what they were saying was correct?

I do think the statistics were manipulated by discounting deaths when she wasn’t on shift.

I think the whole experts coming together was because one of them had his research misused in the trial, and said that how the prosecution had interpreted it was wrong.

He then got the other experts involved.
