How to change a habit

I would like to change some habits, these are snacking, too much sugar and too much phone scrolling. The phone one is probably the hardest.
can anyone recommend a good strategy for changing habits? I know creating new habits is a good way to make changes, neural pathways and all that!
a podcast recommendation would be good too, thanks!

Good book - How To Break Up With Your Phone.

Another good one - Atomic Habits.

Both available as audiobooks. They say it takes 6 weeks to change a habit.

I think understanding the trigger helps - I'll always scroll my phone when I lie on the sofa so I basically just need to not sit down 😅 Have a plan for the triggers.

Also be specific- rather than I want to stop scrolling...I want to stop scrolling and find something else to do between 9-10pm.

Start really small and gradually crowd it out. Think about the obstacles e.g. I always scroll when really tired, instead I will have an early night.

Stick with it - when I quit sugar I felt quite depressed for about six weeks but honestly it passes and I feel so much more clear headed on the whole.
