Hi, I want to get my two year old a scooter for his birthday. I've seen the globber and the micro scooter. Which one would you recommend? I want to be able to fold it down and last until 5ish roughly

We got micro scooters for our twins 2nd birthday and they are great but at 3.5 they were too tall so we've now had to go to the next size (maxi micro scooters I think). So worth looking at how quickly they will grow out of them. Was glad we bought them second hand as the they didn't cost too much for only 18m use.

Oh really. They grew out of them quickly. Are they tall for their age?

We’ve had a few globbers here (sounds weird!) and found them very good. Definitely weren’t outgrown by 3, could probably still be using them now at 7

I wouldn’t get a micro mini again. At age 2 mine were just total liabilities on them and it was more hassle than it was worth so they barely got used in the first year. Then once they’re a metre tall, which DS was at 3, they’re actually fine on the maxi so if I was doing it again I’d just wait until then and buy that instead. I don’t know any child, even the not terribly tall ones like my DD, that were still on a mini at age 5- most kids seem to swap at age 4. IDK the globber, for some reason everyone here as micros, but could be worth considering if it spans a wider height range.

My little girl is 4 and we have the Maxi Micro - we fins it to be a fantastic investement. It is growing with her as she gets taller and I am confident we have many years of usuage left in it- best of all- if parts do need replacing - Micro have a wide range of parts available to fix scooters. How how your purchased faired?
