Obviously (given the hour) nobody is awake in my house but I'm just winding down having taken my autistic/ADHD dd7 to a gig at wembley by myself......and we survived! Minor problems on the tube on the way back which is to be expected due to tiredness and a small meltdown when we got home at 00.30 but otherwise we are intact!

We've done gigs before but there's always been two of us. I planned this thing to the nth degree but we did it! Normal-ish seats and all.

Linkin Park? Magnificent wasn’t it? We’re about 5 minutes from the coach stop.

very well done to both of you what an amazing achievement!

Well done, OP. What a lovely thing to get to share with her.

iv just got back to our hotel in Birmingham. Still buzzing from it! Hope your DD thoroughly enjoyed it I expect she’ll be telling everyone about it at school next week. I resisted a tee shirt this time but I’m starting to regret that decision 🤣🤣

OP well done! Gigs are so very fabulous with your kids...the journeys home not so...glad you had a great time, cherish it 🙂

Yellowshirt · 29/06/2025 02:34

Op I hope you both enjoyed it and you have your next day out planned together.

I was glad to read your first post because I read your title thinking you had gone with a stroppy teenager who refused to come home.

Well done OP and well done DD.

LynetteScavo · 29/06/2025 05:25

Well done! You must be feeling so proud of yourself and your DD right now!

I took my DD to Wembley on my own just before she turned 9, and she totally amazed me at how she handled it, so I completely get why you posted.

fantastic op!! Can totally relate to the sense of achievement.

What a wonderful experience for your Dd!! She is really lucky to have you as a mum.

Why are you posting it?

Because it is the chat forum probably.
