It's lovely, OP, and if you can wear yellow it will be much more flattering than a bright white dress. Do you know whether you have a warm, yellow skin tone or are you cooler blue-toned? You can either experiment, draping your face with a pale warm yellow scarf and seeing if it suits you, or ask someone at a make-up counter to test you. Just saying this because if the dress is definitely pale yellow and you are a blue-based winter it may may not flatter you and could make you look a little sallow. Hope you're yellow-toned!

I bought a butter yellow satin dress last year. I love yellow clothes but the colour sadly looked awful on me, and definitely yellow. I don't think you'd be able to tell if it's The Dress from anything anyone says here. Trying it on is essential.

I would suggest dance shoes, the heel will be reasonable and they’ll have a balance of comfort, support and tasteful fanciness iysim. Depending on which dress you choose, google silver/lemon/cream dancing shoes and there’s loads of choice.

It's lovely & you can get married in what ever you like. That style is very Ghost, have you looked in there if you'd prefer white? The cut is always lovely too.

I'd call that ivory rather than pale yellow. There is only one way to find out. Order it and see, but give yourself enough time for a back up plan if it arrives looking like a bowl of banana custard.

I wore orange and brown for my civil partnership and still have the top and skirt.
