Has anyone got it IRL?
It looks sort of cream on photos?

It just a registry office wedding.

But i would want a yellow, yellow dress.

I found it on Vinted! It’s absolutely desperate for an iron and looks awful in the picture but that’s the dress. £45

Goodideaornot · 28/06/2025 08:35

Whatever dress you choose take a picture into the florist in advance so they can advise on the bouquet

Found it on vinted and it looks a lot more yellow :(

That pic might be taken under electric light though

Big M&S's stock Nobody's Child - maybe see if you could see one IRL somewhere?

Sgreenpy · 28/06/2025 08:53

For my wedding, I bought flowers from the supermarket the day before, I ended up with lisianthus, red roses and freesias.
I bought some florists tape and ribbon and hand tied a bouquet for myself and my bridesmaid. (This was 24 years ago though).
The Nobody's Child dress is lovely btw

viques · 28/06/2025 08:59

I think honeysuckle would be lovely in a bouquet, with maybe yellow freesia, a couple of David Austin style roses and golden hearted ivy to trail.

Thingyfanding · 28/06/2025 09:05

It’s beautiful. If the bust is an issue, I would try the Ghost one that a PP has linked in ivory.

Chewbecca · 28/06/2025 09:06

Looks gorgeous to me, try it on, it's the only way to know. Then return if any doubts remain!

Agree good flowers would be cottage garden style, pink, lilac, blue.

Congratulations!

MsMiniver · 28/06/2025 09:54

With the ghost dress I had a local florist who only used in season flowers from local places. Ended up with a lot of pale pink and peach roses and nice sage green greenery stuff. It was March and that was what local growers had available. I loved it

martinisforeveryone · 28/06/2025 10:13

What's your colouring @Elfonte as in hair, eyes and skin tone. You could choose seasonal flowers that complement you best and they should be fine against the dress.

DiaryofWimpy · 28/06/2025 10:25

It’s a beautiful dress

AlwaysBeingMe · 28/06/2025 10:28

Looks stunning 👍

ApoodlecalledPenny · 28/06/2025 10:41

I think i saw it in Fenwick yesterday and it’s an antique cream (or there’s a very similar dress in an antique cream, also by Nobody’s Child). It looked too weddingy for me to try it on, but I liked the fabric.

Christwosheds · 28/06/2025 10:45

It looks a sort of pale butter yellow, the warm side of a deep cream.
Flower wise you ou”d have even more buttery roses with a golden yellow, proper scented blowsy garden roses along with soft greenery like ferns.

TimeForABreak4 · 28/06/2025 10:46

Lovely

Elfonte · 28/06/2025 10:55

Thankyou for all the help!

Im a size 10/12,

If you genuinely wanted a yellow dress, I wouldn't go for this one. It's very pale, more like an intense cream. But it is lovely and is a steal for a wedding dress if you don't want a very bridal or formal outfit. If you have dark hair it's going to look particularly good.

(Edited for typos grr)

Sends me straight to the 70s, in a good way!

Midlifemysis · 28/06/2025 12:14

Newsflash..... It's your wedding. You decide what you wear. Could be tartan if it makes you happy!
It's a classic, timeless cut and if you want yellow then you have yellow. You're the one wearing it. Dress for yourself and if it makes you feel beautiful and like a bride then you've made the right choice.
Good luck on ur big day ♥️♥️ xx

Could anyone advise on what flowers would go nicely with it? I just want to make up a small bouquet for photos.

Pink flowers, gypsophila and greenery.

Elfonte · 28/06/2025 13:46

I DON'T want yellow, I'm hoping its cream. If it was cream/off white it would be perfect.

And I know I can wear whatever I want to my wedding, I titled it badly, I more meant will this work as a wedding dress if i want something a traditional colour. I was hoping someone would have it IRL and know if the yellow was prominent.

That is absolutely beautiful if you love it and it suits you just do it.

Gymbunny2025 · 28/06/2025 13:53

Yes!

Tontostitis · 28/06/2025 13:54

Or wear it the next day. We went on our honeymoon the following day and I wore a beautiful cream dress that was very weddingy best wedding tip I got was to have something beautiful to wear the next day

What do you mean wear it the next day? Get a different dress and wear this the day after?
