Alton Towers

Would like to book Alton towers for my daughter’s 18th in July. What’s the cheapest way of doing this for a family of 5? I haven’t been since childhood, although kids have all been with friends over the years. We live in Birmingham so not overly far. I also have a Blue Light Card.

Should I book an overnight stay in the hotel in order to get full use of the park? Or maybe just do a day and get the fast passes?
thank you for your help

If you book at the hotel you don't get theme park tickets included in the price anymore. Some hotels near sometimes do a package.
If you are going over the school holidays or on a weekend I would definitely get fast track if you can afford it. We bought them last year as we went on a Saturday for my son's birthday so it was an extra treat and we got on loads more than we would. They are not cheap though.
