Anyone work in a bank

Hi. Can anyone help please. Basically an insurance company cant trace my policy . They took a company over. Cant find old papetwork. Gave them reference off the direct debit but asked me to ask my bank for orginator code to trace Spoke to llloyds on line who said they dont give that out and go to the merchant! Cut me off. Gone back to insurance and they said banks can do this. Am i just getting an unhelpful person at lloyds or someone thst dont know. Might be best going in the branch do you think. Does anyone know if banks can do this. Thanks

I left about 3 years ago so my memory’s a bit hazy, but I think we can give that info out. You might be better speaking to a human in the branch or telephone banking.

Thank you. I went back on chat and asked to speak to a supervisor to complain as called insurance again and they said they can def can give it. Next thing i know the supervisor from the bank gave it me on chat. All traced now.
