Vegan baking?

I need to make a cake to take to a vegan event next weekend.

I always bake with butter, can I just substitute old fashioned block margarine?#

Has anyone got any great vegan recipes they can share? Needn't be a formal cake, could be some sort of traybaked thing

The flora plant-based block works well for me when I bake for a dairy-free friend, also
soya milk.

Be careful with some margarines, they can include milk whey, so make sure it is clearly marked as vegan.

The brownie recipe looks good, might try that myself!

I use these too - agree, they work well.

the dairy free baking spreads are fine but you need to replace the eggs too!
The attached is really good, the ready made buttercream frosting you can buy in tubs is usually decent and i've used that with fresh strawberries in the middle and frosting on the top with decorations.

I like the flora plant based for cooking and lurpack plant based for cooking.

I’m not vegan, but frequently need to bake for vegan family and friends. I’ve never had a failure with anything from this site

This is my go-to recipe, even non-vegans love it:
