Im curious to know what this was as although i live and work in a very multicultural city i have never hear anything like it before.
I work with people from many cultures and ( for context) have been taught some words from various languages - greetings usually but mainly swear words to be honest and my friends howl to hear me, a white middle everything person, saying the most horrible swears they can come up with. i like to try and work out where a person originates from by hearing the few words i know .
Anyway ,that was to set the scene that i am used to hearing a variety of languages and greetings daily.
The women concerned were very similar in that they were both young ,well dressed and with a small child in case that is relevant .
In a shop one woman and her child were browsing. Another woman came in and stood right in front if her so they faced each other. They both said Salaam and i expected to hear the usual response but they both kept on speaking. It seemed to be a recitation of something and also necessary to be in chorus. It went on for several seconds and there was no other conversation as the 2nd woman then left the shop.
It just intrigued me and id love to know what it was about.
