Anyone with lip tie experience?

DD is 7.5 months old. EBF and has never had an issue. Purée fed, not very interested in food, doesn’t scrape the food off the spoon with her top lip, not sure if this is due to the tie or is still learning.
Think I can see her teeth in this photo, not sure if this will impact them coming through.
any advice welcomed.

My DD was born with tongue and top lip tie, EBF for 9 months. Her teeth came through fine, including adult teeth and her speech is fine. Her speech is too fine, she never stops chattering.

I think they often grow out of it. I had a significant liptie but my teeth still came in ok, I just had a gap between them. I had mine surgically removed as a teenager and it was painful. One of my kids and one of my GC had one but they both outgrew it.

I only realised I have a lip tie an adult. It looks similar size to your baby's.

I did have about 2mm gap between my adult front teeth for years, but it closed on its own without any help.
It's never, as far as I know, caused any issues including feeding as a baby.

DD had issues latching on and only the bf councellor found out about the tongue-tie.

With lots of tricks I ebf for 6 months and DD was then scheduled to get it reviewed at 1 year.

As soon as we started solids (BLW, so mainly fingerfood), she just couldn't eat. She was unable to move the tongue around in her mouth to get food stuck in corners or at the roof and just refused to eat.

We ended up getting it cut privately under general anaesthetic when she was 9 month.

My DSIS and I were both born with lip ties. We both had surgery under local anaesthetic at our local hospital to have it cut away before our adult teeth started to grow. I do have a residual lump on the inside of my lip but it doesn't stop me doing anything. I do have slightly gappy front teeth though.

My son was born with a lip tie but I didnt find out until I got a private BF consultant as he was having awful issues with latching on and she was the one that told me.
He ended up with a massive gap in his front teeth but dentist and GP weren't concerned as said the tie would stretch . It did eventually and the gap closed up completely when he got his adult teeth

I had one and my teeth came in pretty badly and I needed braces.

my daughter has one too and a very large gap between teeth. She will have braces when she is older. She fed with nipple shields but could eat solids just fine.

My son has no lip tie and perfect teeth!
