I find I often have to do many, many of the “verify you are not a robot” tests before it will let me move on. Is that normal? I tend to overthink them and debate with myself whether the rider is included in the motorbike, is I can see a scrap of traffic light in an extra square, if by steps they mean just the tread…. They cause me great anxiety and frustration!

am I alone? Do others breeze past these minor inconveniences? I wonder how ND people manage as I imagine that could make it more tricky.

It seems like it’s getting worse. Previously I’m sure I only ever had to do one. Yesterday, it was up to five pictures in a row. I started to wonder if I actually was a robot

FurForksSake · 26/06/2025 14:26

I had to do one fairly recently where I had to answer maths puzzles to determine which car would win a race or something. It was ridiculous!

I suspect I also am a robot. Perhaps admitting it will mean we get excess quicker?

Yes, I struggle too. The pictures are always poor quality and indistinct as well. I often get dh to do it for me.

They aren't checking if you've clicked the correct boxes, they're looking at your browsing history. Checking the websites you've visted to make an assumtion if you're a real person. If you've just started a new session with a clear history it will make you click the boxes over and over to test if you're a person or not.

FurForksSake · 26/06/2025 14:35

I never start a new session, I have tonnes of tabs open. More often than not I’m navigating from one website to another.

I get this all the time. I usually have to go through at least three different checks. A friend who doesn’t have the same problem told me to quickly click three boxes and no more which helps a bit. I think I over-think whether I should click boxes eg does a bridge just mean the span or the access structures too. I think humans are probably more decisive than robots so it assumes my delay is processing time rather than confusion of exactly what they mean.

FurForksSake · 26/06/2025 14:48

i Definitely dither. I’ll try the quick three boxes and see if that helps!
