Dating without childcare

Hi,
How do people date when they don’t have any help for childcare? My husband I haven’t gone out properly in years. We don’t really know any professional babysitters - it seems all my kids friends’ parents use family / friends.

How old are they? Do neither of you have a single family member who would sit with them after bedtime?

The other alternative is an annual leave day while they are in school or nursery.

We found a babysitter. Grandparents in another country so little help.

Either both book a days annual leave and spend a day together whilst kids are at nursery or school or there are agencies that will send you over a DBS cleared person. Alternatively do you know any sensible A level students who would come and sit with your kids while they study. I used to put my kids to bed before I went out then I had an A level student come and sit with them whilst they got on with homework. My kids never woke up and student happy to earn extra cash.

Any friends of your own who’d be happy to do you the odd favour? Any possibility your DC’s friends’ babysitters could be tempted to babysit your DC for cash? How old are the DC? Old enough where they might be invited to play dates and sleepovers?

Sitters.co.uk

all the sitters are DBS checked and reviewed, I’ve used about 6 or 7 and never had a bad experience

How old are they? Lots of the younger staff at our nursery do babysitting on the side

My hubby and I booked annual leave days. 9 months later we had a boy 🤭🤣

Advert on local Facebook page (obviously check credentials) , ask older friends or neighbours with teenagers , agency, nursery or school staff, ask local college, any TAs working at the school?
