Does any else think The Sun is a national disgrace?

So the US has dropped a bomb on Iran. Russia and China are behind Iran, and Iran is run by a bunch of religious extremists who hope to develop nuclear weapons. On top of that, the whole area is at boiling point over Israel and Palestine. Millions of lives could be affected if this escalates. You only have to look back to WW1 to see how quickly different nations can be drawn into a global war.

And what do we get on the front page of that filthy rag? A photo with the headline "Stick It Up Your Bunker." That disgusting excuse for a paper makes me ashamed to be British. God knows what foreigners think when they see it on sale in newsagents. To me, that paper is Britain at its absolute worst. It's the oafish, beer-swilling, anti-intellectual side of Britain incarnate.

Well yeah, it's The Sun.

They don't call it the gutter press for nothing. Loathsome rag.

It's taken you until now to realise this?

It appeals to the lowest common denomination. It's a shame that there's quite a high proportion of them.

The Sun has long been a disgrace. Ask anyone in Liverpool.

I genuinely can't read The Sun since the lies they spewed about the Hillsborough disaster.

It's a pretty terrible newspaper but the headlines are the stuff of legend - Up Yours Delors, Wacko Jacko, Paddy Pantsdown, Freddie Starr Ate My Hamster etc. It's just what they do. Not sure if this one will have the same longevity.
