Any tips of self esteem and raising it? Always been told I'm dramatic, too sensitive, overreact, too emotional etc by close family, husband etc.
Have 2 kids 5 and 8 who are doing well, decent job , own house , busy life, yet still told I'm a train wreck.
Don't smoke , do drugs , drink excessive or anything but need tips to be less of an annoyance and more acceptable to them .
Thanks !

Does the.being overdramatic come from a place of anxiety and ruminating/overthinking things? Or from somewhere else?

Probably anxiety. I don't think anyone else around me suffers with it so it's hard for them .

Well, if you can pin it down to anxiety then that's your starting point. Look at your local talking therapies offer via the NHS, or speak to your GP. Even online CBT can teach you ways to review your thoughts and feelings and decide if they are accurate before you act on them. The first time I did a course I just hadn't realised how much I catastrophised things and how black and white my thinking was. To be fair, I don't think anybody taught me any other way if thinking. So I just had to learn it. It still doesn't come naturally, but at least I've got some insight now. Good luck xxx
