These seem to be popping up all over the place & I’m not sure that they are always appropriate. What do people think?

Depends on what it's for. A child who has lost both patents in an accident is more worthwhile than a woman who wants a boob job!

I don’t care what people do. They are optional in terms of donating so o don’t think it matters.

There’s probably a lot of fraudulent activity and made up sob stories on there but I’ve given to a few when I’ve known them to be genuine

I refuse to donate to any of them

Next door tried to make our lives hell with her lies and causing endless trouble for us

She then burnt her house down (by mistake!) and within 2 hours,up went the gofundme begging for 2k (she got less than £500)

I'm damned if I'm paying for her insurance as well as my own (couldn't afford £3 a week for insurance but could afford whatever it costs for that bloody ring doorbell that she used to keep tabs on us)

They've moved back in and are keeping their heads down

I almost paid a few quid to a family I know

The whole family are in ill health and on benefits (no judgement at all-they are lovely people-the type of people what if i was in trouble and asked them for help, theyd drop everything)

A family member was murdered by her boyfriend in the homeless hostel that's down the road to me and they needed money to pay for her funeral

I didn't realise they where related to this young lady (it wasn't long after Sarah everard)

I only found out after reading about her death online (about 3/4 lines as a side article in another story) and then a link by a friend of the family to the gofundme in another status

By the time I saw it,the money had been raised or I would have given £20 in her memory
