Have you ever reshaped a palm leaf hat?

I have a wide brim hat and love it for the width, but it's top is dome shaped, and I rarely wear it because of that. I was just reading that palm leaf hats can be shaped with a bit of water. Google is only showing me western cowboy hat tutorials. Has anyone here done it with a wide brimmed sun hat?

But I think I would feel more confident if someone had reshaped a hat like this... anyone?
