Do you suffer with eye floaters.
I get the halo ones / black dots or specks of light like silver tinsel sometimes cob webs.
I have had them for years my eye doctor said it normal with a lot of people that suffer with migraines or looking at a bright space wall sky etc.
May i ask what are yours like.

I suffer from them a lot too, they drive me mad sometimes.
Mine are either black blobs or they look like s translucent worm / squiggle.
I often wish there was a windscreen wiper for my eyeballs !

I normally get black dots, or a see through squiggely line. But for the last few months I have had a persistent brown crooked line floating around to the right of my right eye's field of vision and a see-through elongated cloudy circle swooshing across the centre of my vision in that eye. There is no let-up and it is beginning to annoy me....

The odd black dot but my main one is like an amoeba. X

Dots and squiggles. I once had a big new one: saw eye dr who diagnosed partially detached retina and did immediate and urgent laser treatment. Any sudden change: get it checked.

I thought you were asking about poop

neverknowinglyunreasonable · 19/06/2025 17:28

A couple of flushes usually does it. Hope this helps.

I'm Irish and I had one for a while that looked like an outline of the island of Ireland. My eye doctor had told me not to worry, and it gradually broke down. It was small but perfect.

donttellmewhaticantdo · 19/06/2025 17:37

I have 2 black blurry dots. I have had them for as long as I can remember. I don't notice them anymore unless I try to or if I'm looking at the sky or anything white background.

I have chronic eye floaters that really impact my vision and wellbeing.
Sometimes they completely obscure my vision. One is just a floating cloud but I have funny squiggles too. I have had a vitrectomy in the other eye (not for this reason) and the floaters obviously went but it’s a traumatic procedure to go through and they don’t recommend it’s done routinely but I am considering it because the impact is so bad.
Those of you making light of it talking about poo consider yourselves re-educated! It has a significant impact on my life 😞

@neverknowinglyunreasonable you read the post and still mad a silly comment.
Some of us suffer with this badly.
Go type on a different thread for jokes as this is not the thread for your childish jokes.

Mine are like tiny see through worms or transparent bits of dust

InjuryMyArse · 20/06/2025 17:07

I've just recently had my first. It frightened me, Tbh. Dark ring and flashes of light. Went to the optician who said it was a Weiss ring. Luckily it is easing now and the light flashing has gone.

Oh the joys of ageing.
