Housewarming gift ideas

My very good friend has recently been through a very messy, unexpected (by her) and painful breakup from a guy she thought was the love of her life. As a result, they are selling their jointly owned home and she is moving into a small rented flat while she decides her next steps on life. I am going over next week to help her move some things and generally offer a bit of practical and moral support. But I would love to take a housewarming gift along …

Her ex had told her she can take whatever she wants out of their home so she has all the usual domestic bits and pieces. So - any ideas for an appropriate housewarming gift would be much appreciated …. Thank you in advance.

If it’s a small flat and she has all she needs, then a really lovely bunch of flowers.

A cuddly, snuggly blanket. And/or a big cushion.

A food or drink treat, as she already has all the domestic things she needs, unless you know she wants to upgrade her frying pan or something.

Or - a completely new bedding set so that she never has to share a bed with anything of his ever ever again. Might be a bit expensive though if it includes a duvet, pillows, covers etc. A new bedding set was one of the first things I bought when I got rid of my XH.

I always get a bunch of flowers and buy a nice vase to put them in, so that they can keep the vase after the flowers have gone.
