Laser Eye Surgery. Recommendations ?

DH is very keen to have laser eye surgery and I have seen lots of people on MN saying what a transformation it is. Can anyone recommend clinics/opticians that they found great for this procedure ?

Do it! It was life changing. I went to Optegra. I went to an open evening (It was pre-Covid so they might not do them anymore). They weren’t at all pushy. I booked a free consultation and again they weren’t pushy.

Admittedly I could probably have gone to a lesser-known company and got it cheaper, but my theory was good eye surgery isn’t cheap and cheap eye surgery might not be good.

optegra were very professional, all areas spotlessly clean (as you would expect). The worst part was the actual operation. It didn’t take long, but it was scary. I had to stay still whilst the surgeon did it, which was hard. There was one point which was particularly disgusting and if I had let myself think about it, I would have run away, but distracted myself by trying to do my times tables in my head.it wasn’t painful, it wasn’t even uncomfortable, just horrible to think what they were actually doing to my eyes!

Went home, had a little nap (I’m fond of naps!) and when I woke up I could see!

I’m very glad i had it done, just cross with myself that I didn’t do years earlier.

clueless thank you so much. So many people wish they did it sooner and DH is at the stage where he needs glasses to see his dinner 🤣. I will look into Optegra !
