Keeping up with technology

Hi all I’m 38, and two young children so spent the last few years focusing on them. But lately, particularly at work, I just feel really out of touch with technology. Is it just me getting old? I just get overwhelmed with figuring out things like the new printers, AI, like I just don’t have the patience for it. Anyone else the same or how do you make an effort to stay up to date?

Saying you don’t have the patience for AI is like an oxymoron - it does everything and is so efficient and saves you time.

I recommend you download chat GPT and just play with it (like things you would ask google) it’s transformed my admin and I don’t know anyone who doesn’t love it.

Tell the AI the make & model of your printer and ask for instructions. Do this for all the techy things you want to learn. I'm not part of the AI fan club but they are, predictably, great at this. You can specify the level of instruction you want, ask further questions, require pictures or diagrams, and it will never get annoyed or bored!

I get AI to write my Excel formulas. This has made me very lazy and probably killed several brain cells, but it's so much more peaceful than battling through loads of Stack Exchange threads 😏
