Grumbling pain under left rib cage

I’ve been getting this on an off for a while now but have long periods without it and then I forget about it. It’s just a grumbly sort of ache under the left ribs. Not pain as such. I’ve been a bit grumbling under my ribs ever since I had my second baby. Am mid 40s. Will book a GP appt but any ideas what this might be?

Was in GP not long ago for HRT check up and had full blood tests which were all normal

Did you get any answers for this? I also have an odd achey type thing under left rib that comes and goes and same as you, only after having my little one

Gall bladder.

Probably gallstones yep. A quick ultrasound can rule in/out.

I always thought gallbladder pain was right sided?

Gall bladder stones can cause inflammation of the pancreas which is on the left side. I had this when I had cholecystitis I thought I was having a heart attack!

Do you drink? When I had pancreatic pain, it was exactly this, though for me under the right rib cage. I was eventually diagnosed with an issue with my pancreas, not pancreatitis but it was certainly inflamed. Drinking alcohol seemed to flare it up.

Not yet. It’s a grumble now and then but then I also get a pain if I lean over on that side (like seriously lean over though). That pain is sharper and started after the birth of my second child. I read a thread on here about that (it feeling like something gets stuck and it bloody hurts and then pops out again.) don’t know if it’s related to the grumbly occasional pain or not. A mystery!
