TV Extra

Does anyone work as a TV Extra? I have just been made redundant and would love to do this type of work. If so can you recommend an agency that isnt a scam please? Lots of them are trying to charge me several hundreds of pounds for photos etc that I just can't afford at the moment and it sounds dodgy anyway.

I know nothing about agencies, sorry, but if you’re going to need a regular income equivalent to what you were earning in a FT job, this isn’t going to cut it.

It can be a useful side-hustle for people with other sources of income who can be really flexible with their own commitments at short notice, as call sheets can change with little or no warning, and filming days van be long.

Thank you, I was thinking it might keep me going while I found a full time job again but it probably just a crazy idea.
