Another night of no sleep
Brain racing, stressing ,of on its own tangent
Days filled with anxiety
I hit 48 and everything I was struggling with seemed to get so much worse.
I can't control the thoughts..
My doctor is absolutely no help,.I've got propnanol and a course of CBT .
She says this is just how it is when you have autism .
It's like there's me ..and then my brain, and my brain is not on my side .
God help me if ADHD meds don't make a difference, when I finally get prescribed some

I think you're not understanding how HRT works, or that it doesn't just involve one option.

Some people have 2 weeks on 2 weeks off progesterone (usually uterogestan). I understand you don't want that, you want continuous progesterone similar to your contraceptive.

That CAN can achieved either by having continuous progesterone in the form of a tablet (that's what I have) or you can have coil fitted.

You really sounds like you need oestrogen. At your age it will have vastly diminished which leads to a wide range of symptoms, just as you describe.

Nothing you take will stop you going through menopause. Your body does that at its own pace. Using continuous progesterone to stop your periods is just hiding that. It could well be that they have stopped already at your age. Using oestrogen does nothing whatsoever to your periods.
