Weekly check-ins while on sick leave

I’m currently on sick leave with stress, due to returns to work at the beginning of July. When I phoned my boss to inform her, she said about weekly check-in’s prior to my return, however she didn’t clarify whether I had to phone in or if she’d phone me. I haven’t heard anything yet this week,I’m unsure whether to phone in. I’ve never been off sick for more than two days so this is all a bit new to me and I’m unsure of what to do

I'd ring in as it would be eating me up inside thinking I could get a call any time any day. Then arrange a set time for the rest of the time off. I'm off with stress at the moment and the call is 10am on a Monday. It was 11 on a Tuesday and I couldn't settle until I'd had it.

Only thing is I have no idea what to say😬as there’s been barely any change. Things are slowly getting better but at the same time I’m nowhere near ready to return to work yet (and I’m not due back until July)

I don’t think you need to agree to this. Maybe arrange a time for early July to confirm if you will be coming back as planned, but more than that not needed if you have sick note
