For Thursday night assuming you've no vegetarians I would do lamb and cous cous. I really like this Jamie Oliver recipe. It's easy and you won't be boiling in the kitchen (plus you could tailor your nibbles accordingly) . Id ditch the stuffed peppers I don't think they add anything. Maybe just roasted peppers from a jar alongside? https://www.strandsofmylife.com/moroccan-lamb-chops-herby-couscous-stuffed-peppers/

Id do a roast chicken for lunch one for the days with a big salad and crusty bread. That night I'd probably do something really easy like Spanish omelettes.

Rather than roast chicken at the weekend I'd do a leg of lamb - these are some options that are very summery. I do know I've given you lamb twice now though. If that doesn't appeal now about salmon fillet, new potatoes (jersey royals) and samphire. https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/wordofmouth/2016/aug/18/how-to-cook-the-perfect-kleftiko

For desert I'd consider something really refreshing like pineapple carpaccio https://www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/fruit/pineapple-carpaccio/
If you have an espresso maker I dont think you can go wrong with really nice vanilla ice-cream and a shot poured over.

Mind you I'd also be happy if someone made me an egg sandwich ;)

Moroccan Lamb Chops, Herby Couscous & Stuffed Peppers - halleluja,I did it!

I did it! I made this Jamie Oliver meal in 30 minutes. I cut out the drink but that should have taken all of 5 minutes so I believe I can pat myself on my back. Or Jamie can for having created at least one 30-minute meal. I do suspect that the wine I h...

Friday night I’d do a really simple linguine with garlic, chilli, fresh parsley and prawns. Maybe a nice flat bread on the side.
Thursday night id do a couple of curries, rice, popadoms, chutney, raita, naan, onion bhajis etc
Saturday lunch just do french stick, a good cheese board, olives, celery, grapes, chutney, pickled onions, scotch eggs etc
Saturday night could you bbq? Halloumi, veg skewers, steaks, potato salad, coleslaw, corn on the cob, cous cous and roasted veg salad etc

OMG what great idea! I just knew I’d get inspiration from here.

Lamb will def feature. You’ve reminded me of a Nigelka lamb with pomegranate and flatbreads, but @EatingSleeping that Jamie recipe is great. Can get stuffed peppers as canapé nibbles thing.

Omelettes, brilliant!!! Yes, roast chicken lunch instead. I thought Waitrose fish from counter - tuna, salmon or sea bass… new pots are perfect, thank you!

@AtleastitsnotMondayFrom your ideas, I’m going to do linguine but with clams & with foccaccia on side. Yes, cheeses & maybe antipasti on Saturday. Was just thinking Sunday we might walk, so pub lunch will sort it after frozen almond croissants for breakfast.

oh wow you have all fern a great help!

That sounds amazing! What a good host.

Well it's forecast to be scorching hot for all those days, so I'd do meals such as...
Salade Niçoise, if you use a traditional recipe it is a substantial meal, and all prepared ahead of time, or using bought precooked items such as new potatoes.

Chicken Caesar Salad

Coronation chicken with salads

One night could be a Spanish tapas night, with a range of delicatessen items, frittata, charcuterie, cheeses, chilled gazpacho etc

I'd keep puddings simple, bowls of cherries and oranges, strawberries or raspberries with cream, ice cream and sorbets. If you want something fancier choose Dame Blanche, Coupe Colonel, or Pear Belle Hélène.

A breakfast - The frozen mini danish pastries from Waitrose are lovely with good coffee.
Lunch - Cous Cous or Edame bean tuna salad with a boiled egg
Dinner - Sharing platter of chilli nachos with homemade guacamole and sour cream dips. Desperados to drink!

@AdaColemanLove the idea of a Niçoise… great idea, and easy to prep. I think a Niçoise with tuna steaks on one of the nights would go down v well.

First meal could be baked potatoes ,salad and a few fillings. Lasagne ,garlic bread and salad for Friday evening. Chilli and rice and crusty bread for Saturday. Lamb or chicken with salad for Sunday. Breakfasts just get a selection of pastries.
