Does this sound like an allergic reaction?

I've never had one before, so no point of reference.
I drank something I'd never tried before, and after about 10 minutes I felt incredibly shakey, like I'd run 10 miles on an empty stomach. I was having hot and cold flushes, and felt like I was about to have D+V.
I drank a litre of water and ate something and felt slightly better, but it was so unnerving.
Is that an allergy or something else?

Was there a lot of sugar in it? A sugar rush can make the body act really weirdly.

Sounds more like a sugar rush than allergy but allergens can make the body get rid of it through d+v but an allergy would be more swelling g, hives, rash or itchy

@Yogabearmous you could be right! It was an Aperol Spritz, I just googled and it's approx 22g of sugar (my goodness!).
Im no great drinker but I can usually manage one alcoholic drink without feeling like I'm going to die.

@WhatMe123 thanks for that, no itching or hives, so maybe it was a crazy sugar rush!
