Does anyone know please?

How to change the relationship? ie if you have mistakenly put your Aunt down as your Grandmother? (erk!)

How to list a child born between 2 parents who were married (but not to each other!)

How to check that an account is 'private'?
I set mine up that way but I am now finding rellies listed in others family trees.
Does that mean they can see mine?

TIA

Just click on the relationship, eg aunt, and then click ‘confirm relationship’ and you can edit it.

If you go to your tree and click ‘settings’ ‘tree settings’ and ‘privacy’ you should be able to check it. Some trees are public and some are private.

Regarding the child to unmarried parents, I think you have to list the partner as a spouse, regardless of what the relationship between the couple was. You could always add a note to clarify they weren’t married if you wanted?

You add the child to one of the parents

Then add the other parent to the child.

If you've done something wrong, in the Profile View click on Edit-Edit Relationships
which brings up a dialogue box showing all the relationships for that person
which can then be individually removed or edited
(I had some screenshots here but they've been removed)

I realise this a zombie thread but thought I’d add to it. If you want to keep private a particular relationship eg if the parties are married to other people, a child is born outside marriage, then denote the individuals as “living” whether living or deceased and then the names will be invisible to others even on a public tree.
