How will you enjoy the sun?

I tend to get a bit flustered and bothered when it’s very hot and never feel like I’ve made the most of it. Anyone want to tell me about little gentle ways they find to enjoy the super sunny days? I’m planning a dog walk on the beach with a friend on my day off. Might make an effort with wearing summer clothes to work. Family evening walks after dinner maybe..

I'm not great at doing things in the middle of the day when it's boiling hot but I do appreciate the nice weather when it's here so for me I:

Have my coffee in the garden first thing in the morning.

Sit under my parasol reading my book.

Evening walks when it's cooler but still light.

Eating dinner outside.

Open up all the windows in the house.

Gin and tonic in the garden with DH once DDs have gone to bed.

Appreciate getting my washing hung outside and dry by lunchtime so I can get a second load out 🤣

Walk in woods for the shade. Sit in the shade. Save anything active for the evenings (or early mornings). Feel fortunate to work in an air conditioned office.

Oh yes, morning coffee outside! That’s a great one! I also work in an air conditioned office, thank goodness.

I’m also seeing this fortnight as practice for my summer holiday in terms of clothes that keep me cool but still feel good.
