What phobia do you NOT have that so many others do?

What will you gladly do that other people are terrified of?

I'm not claustrophobic at all. I love small, dark, enclosed, underground spaces. I recently visited the Speedwell Cavern in Derbyshire which has an underground river going through a very narrow tunnel, which you go along in a boat. I went there as a child, and as an adult, it seems even narrower now, and I loved it.

No problem:
Spiders
Wasps
Blood
Needles

Not particularly keen:
Heights
Rodents
Dogs

Phobia:
Snakes
Vomit

No phobias that I can think of.

Like spiders. Have removed many from rooms with bare hands after friends and family got scared. Including some I almost certainly shouldn’t have from foreign countries!

My main phobia (other than the obvious people I love dying and men I don’t know in the dark) is pigeons. I will walk really quite far round a flock or even a single pigeon to avoid it. I have taken wing to face not once but twice so that probably explains this one.

Totally fine with walking alone at any time of day or night. Do need a torch now though as I’m older and more likely to fall. Happy to answer the door at night and be alone in the house. I have got two medium/big dogs so that probably helps.

Answering the phone, working in the office, waiting til pay day to see my payslip. All apparently very real phobias I dealt with at work yesterday

Spiders - will happily pick them up and move them somewhere safe if others are scared.

Injections - don't bother me at all.

Mice/rats - obviously not something I want in my house but I'm not frightened of them.

Snakes/other reptiles - not bothered.

Holes (tryphophobia) - I actually enjoy looking at those pictures. I can't stand 'ASMR' though so I am probably wired wrong!

Spiders, snakes, bugs, worms, wasps etc etc
The dark
Horror films (horror films calm me down, I watch one every night before bed)
Public speaking, anything like that.

I am completely horrified by small spaces, tunnels, etc.

I’m not phased at all by spiders, snakes, small spaces, needles etc.

Plastic buttons though…. 😫

Really admire the poster who isn't afraid of small spaces. Wow. I freak out even watching anything on tv involving a submarine.

I have a strange phobia of large ships. Not from a distance but my knees turn to jelly if I have to be up close to one. I had to drive on to one a few years ago and could NOT look up. I used to work with someone who had a terrible fear of looking at pictures of the Titanic.
