Standing up for yourself/ Assertiveness/ Menopause

Anyone else find that assertiveness comes more easily after menopause? I’m finding that I can respond more quickly and assertively if someone is downright rude or nasty.
Have struggled with this until in life until after menopause and now it comes far more easily.
I think part of it also comes with realising that I’m entitled to self respect, and why should someone speak to me in that way?
Wanted also to maybe give anyone hope that is struggling with standing up for yourself that it may well come more easily when you get older!

I love that! Yes, why should we be miserable because of how someone else is acting!

Yes. It’s the best part of perimenopause for me so far. It’s like the scales have come off life and I don’t give a fuck what other people think. It’s liberating.

Love that too! I’m embracing the fact that I’ve found self respect and assertiveness :)
