It won’t help. Alcohol is a depressant and it’s bad for your body to drink too much. I am sorry you are struggling. Do you have anyone in real life to talk to? Have you been to your GP?

Can’t speak to anyone going through a family trauma right now, what makes it worse is I like the tipsy feeling, I have recent light some botanical 0% to try to reduce my intake which I do enjoy, but it’s hard… I will get to my goal.. I’m just not mentally ready yet, it will change I just need time

It’s more typically when you have a problematic relationship with alcohol for your intake to escalate. It often takes external support to cut alcohol out. Have you thought about aa?

My DH and I both stopped drinking completely. We both felt so much better and we very quickly realised that once we’d stopped the habit, we didn’t even miss it.

If you need help, see your GP or contact Alcoholics Anonymous. Best of luck.
