Simple pleasures..

I have just got back from a work trip. The sun is shining and I have indulgently poured myself a glass of prosecco and am sat in the garden with Mumsnet and a good book.. the birds are singing..

life is good!

Life is good here too OP!
Windows open, beautiful sunshine, a comfortable 21C with a warming trend coming.
Bird singing, neighbourhood noises of lawn mowers, a faraway dog barking, the wind rustling the leaves, sheets and blankets billowing in the breeze like sails on a ship.
Feeling privileged to enjoy this day in peace.

Made up my front door pots with bedding plants this afternoon, this years colour theme is scarlet, deep purple and accents of pale purple. I'll give them a day to 'settle in' the move them to the front door. Just sat admiring them, cup of tea in hand. Lovely!

Blinds shut to keep it cool, checking out my beautiful flowers from the window now and agin, listening to my resident blackbird (while trying to ignore the pigeons), alternating between mumsnet and a good book and looking forward to walk with AC tomorrow.
