Summer holiday, temp amnesia

Booked a week in July for our summer holiday.

2 adults, 2 children under 11. In peak school holiday season.

Paid £5800 😮😮😮

I'm in shock and now will forget how much we paid and look forward to it.

We haven't been away for 7 years and that's how I'm justifying it. We opted for all inclusive and paid for reserved seats I know there are areas where we could have cut costs.

I was surprised that hold luggage isn't included in your ticket anymore and lots of other things that are now extras.

Is this today’s most tone deaf post?

Why did you write this?

It's in chat. Open to all.

Why did you feel the need to comment?

That’s quite a bit for one week, but of course it depends on where and the level of accommodation. I’m sure my trip to the US at Christmas, where I don’t pay for accommodation, will cost us as much. The flights will be close to £3000 and we eat out a lot plus day trips.
Hope you have a great time!
