Denture ulcer

I had 2 lower front teeth extracted 4 days ago and partial denture fitted, which also has 4 lower back teeth on each side.
The clasps are too tight and I have an ulcer under one side through my nail causing damage to the gum when trying to extract them.
I also have other denture sores, which are painful but bearable.
I'm not due to see the dentist for adjustment for another 5 days as she isn't happy to do anything in the first week. She isn't open until Tuesday and I am going to ring and try to see her then. It's a private dentist so hopefully I can get in.
My problem is if I stop wearing the denture the teeth either side will drift and it might not go back in. But if I carry on, it will get worse and could get infected. I am doing salt water rinses and putting a baking soda paste on it and using Bonjela.
I'm really at a loss whether to leave them out or not.
Any suggestions?

I was interested in the question as I have have a denture for two adjacent teeth but it doesnt clip in. I would leave my denture out for a couple of days I think to give the sores a chance to heal.
I tried to Google how soon teeth start drifting and frustratingly it varies person to person and which teeth are affected but nothing suggested it would happen over a few days.
Good luck, I hope they all settle down soon.

Thank you strollingby
Unfortunately, it's even worse today. I left the denture out for 12 hours last night and when I put it in this morning, it was very difficult. I wore it for 3 hours but it was very painful even with painkillers and numbing gel.
I will have to keep wearing them on and off so that they will go back in.
I will be ringing the dentist first thing Tuesday morning. I just hope they will get me in. I can't stand the pain for much longer..

Please don’t use bonjela. It just makes the ulcer worse. If you have some denture fixative put a small layer on the ulcer before you put the denture in.
As you put the denture in and out the clasps will loosen off a little.
The teeth won’t move if you have to leave the denture out. We usually advise keeping a denture in ( apart from when cleaning) for 48hrs after extraction so that the gum doesn’t swell up when you leave them out, this ends up with you being unable to put them back in. After 48hrs the swelling should have settled so leaving them out for a little while should be ok.

Thank you Angrymum22.
I will try fixative.
