So muggy and sticky here (south London)

OP posts:
WildFlowerBees · 13/06/2025 21:30

Biblical here, some thunder but quite a disappointing storm. If it rains anymore we’ll need oars.

Zone2NorthLondon · 13/06/2025 21:31

No, but in fairness Sarf London has its own microclimate it rains all the time

NancyBellaDonna · 13/06/2025 21:35

Rumbles over the horizon and flashes too. Still muggy and 22c inside. Doors open and I can hear steady raindrops and it smells of wet leaves and grass. We are Kent.

Big rumbling now

Els1e · 13/06/2025 22:06

Late to the thread. West Dorset, lightning, thunder and a bit of heavy rain past though 10 mins ago. Air feels better already.

aredcar · 13/06/2025 22:08

Been raining since the afternoon here in wales but no storm. I love a good storm

CalicoPusscat · 13/06/2025 22:09

Of course. It's rained every day so far in June. Quite demoralising.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 13/06/2025 22:13

A bit, outer SW London. Just went for a short walk in it - just spots, not proper rain (not yet, anyway).

ExtensivelyDecluttering · 13/06/2025 22:19

Keep getting showers of heavy drops but they dry almost as soon as they land, humidity is really high (Hampshire).

yeesh · 13/06/2025 22:21

Pissing down here (as usual) south wales

Norugratsatall · 13/06/2025 22:26

Yep and a nice little thunderstorm to boot. First one of the season here.

Looking at lightningmaps.org and jealous. The number of flashes!

No rain here in Glasgow.

Redrosesposies · 13/06/2025 22:30

None here in Cheshire. It's been a gorgeous day and clouded over about 6.30.
Had to get the hose pipe out for the pots so we'll probably have a deluge overnight.

AllProperTeaIsTheft · 13/06/2025 22:32

Just started to rain here in Cumbria. We had been forecast storms tomorrow, but it's now just saying sun and cloud 23°.

Fordian · 13/06/2025 22:33

Just watched a Dover webcam! Continuous lightning!

Doggymummar · 13/06/2025 22:34

Torrential

BlueSkiesInJuly · 13/06/2025 22:34

Yes I did a 9.30pm supermarket shop and it was like being abroad - so muggy and warm. Its raining slow big fat rain drops here in the south east.

I've got the balcony open and some flute music playing.

downbadd · 13/06/2025 22:34

Yep. South wales, what’s new?

RaininSummer · 13/06/2025 22:34

Been pouring for most of two days. Lots of flooding because storm drains are blocked.

idolikealiein · 13/06/2025 22:37

Just had 10 minutes of stair rods and it just suddenly stopped. South east Staffordshire

shellyleppard · 13/06/2025 22:37

@BeakyFlinders please please please send us some in the east midlands......its supposed to have rained but still waiting 😳

MrsMoastyToasty · 13/06/2025 22:38

It's grey but not raining here (between Bristol and Bath)..

XenoBitch · 13/06/2025 22:39

Very muggy and sticky here (Wiltshire). My poor dog is just walking about panting. I am infront a fan being wafted with warm sticky air.
It rained for about 20 seconds earlier. I could have dodged the raindrops, it was that sparse.

JohnnyLuLus · 13/06/2025 22:40

Few drops then nothing else. South coast.

ChessorBuckaroo · 13/06/2025 22:40

In NI. Calm and the skies are quite clear.

We are very close to the west coast of Scotland (12 miles across the north channel) and it too looks calm.

Mimilamore · 13/06/2025 22:48

10.20 heard the rain start. Just been loud thunder claps, North Kent.
