So I'm on this forum for all genders for health/well-being/weight loss and fitness. For context I went on this forum for advice about weight loss I'm at my highest 14 stone (I've never been this much in my lifetime) I'm 34 and 5ft3, bad knees, I haven't been great with food lately I've gotten myself in a rut that I'm trying to change around for the better. The advice I was asking was the usual, best foods to eat before exercising, walking ect and this one bloke popped up and I quote word from word what he said "why do all you woman suddenly get fat then want to lose weight?, is it because you are all cheating and you need to approve your fatness for the new fella to be or do you want to gain more attention because your turning ugly".......... obviously all us woman jumped straight in with our say and yes it's just a troll wanting a rise from us but none of us could of let him get away with that, so ladies what would you have said?. The original post (it was on reddit) got took down because he was being vile it flagged violation otherwise id of added a link, not that it would make a difference because he was heavy set on that "we must be cheating"

I'm absolutely sick and tired of the majority of men's thinking when it comes to woman and myself wanting to improve health and fitness FOR MYSELF but get accused for other reasons that would never ever happen. My ex did the same thing he accused me of seeing someone else for wanting to approve my health. We can't for the life of us change our health around, change the way we look without being told we are peacocking, wanting more attention. Im doing my weight loss for me and my very painful knees not for men to look at, some need and him need to get over themselves 😂.

@Strawberrypie33your mental and physical well being should be at the top…go for it….anyone who tries to put you down, you know they’re trying to destroy the glow that is missin in them! Yes I’m a man, but I know if you’re feeling good about yourself then if it was me , will make me or others feel good around you too

I’d tell him his worldview was tainted with misogny and I’d ask him if his hatred for women was because he was angry about his tiny penis (with a laughing emoji).

See the majority actually don't care or see us changing our ways as a threat it's mind boggling, I would never towards a man you do you, I hope you didn't take my post personally 😬 as I say "some" men, I was dubious posting this as the last one went south regarding that so called man. It's just a shame majority have the need to make a comment as such but thank you.

I just wouldn't reply. Ignore. That man wanted your attention, however negative. Don't give it to him.

MiloMinderbinder925 · 13/06/2025 13:59

It depends. Sometimes I can't be bothered to respond. He was a troll, someone looking for a fight or to vent spleen. I think it would help to reflect on why a random troll had such an effect and to try and raise your self esteem.

Unfortunately in life you'll meet some nasty individuals who want to bring you down. That's entirely on them and not a reflection on you. What other people think isn't your business.

@Strawberrypie33 no offence taken at all, I hope you’re now seeing most of us are on your side and want to help , so be single minded and don’t give up , of course there will be days when you re feeling down, just think positive and keep striving ✊🏿
