Hi off to Marrakech soon.
Can anyone advise me how much you need to cover up when out.
Do I need to cover up in hotel grounds do you think ?
Booked a 4 star All Inclusive.
Intend to visit Medina, and 2 excursions one to a Berber village and the other to Desert.

You'll be OK in Western-style clothes in the hotel, but long sleeves & long trousers when outside the hotel. Headscarf if you plan to visit a mosque.

Hotel grounds will be fine to dress as you would at home. Out and about its good to cover upper arms and upper legs and if entering anywhere religious full arms / legs and take a scarf to cover your hair.

You'll attract more attention if you are younger, fair haired, not with a man so I would be more careful about covering up if that's the case, just to minimise the hassle that comes with attention!

Marrakech is a very casual place - Ive been a couple of times - with my DDs and with my DH. Both times, we had no hassle from anyone, wore regular holiday clothes (Vests/shorts etc) whilst out and about. We stayed in the medina.

Ive always worn knee length summer dresses (not scrappy), I'm blonde long hair, never get any hassle in the Medina.

Good advice we got from a local was arms or legs out but not both. It's a very cosmopolitan city. It's one of my favourite cities. It will be very very hot there now though!

Agree with @Soontobe60 - if visiting a religious site dress headscarf and shoulders / knees covered is polite, but everywhere else you can dress as you would at home.
It’s a wonderful city & country & I hope you have a wonderful time 🐪

I went to Tangier last year, and I wore the same clothes I would at home.

Being blonde I did get a lot of people staring at me which was strange, and I went to a shopping mall with my partner. He is there for work a lot and I held his hand. He told me that we shouldn't hold hands as it's frowned upon, and to be fair, we were drawing attention. That alarmed me a bit.
