If you have retrained in to a different career, what did you do and what do you do now?

I hate my job. I work in financial services and it’s so depressing.

Retraining in to something more meaningful and rewarding is something I really want to do as I go through my 40s.

What was your original career and what do you do now? Was it a good move for you?

Yes I did a degree apprenticeship that was paid (I’m not in England). It took 3 years and then once I was qualified I was given a full time permanent contract. I love it

Worked as a pa and retrained in my mid 30s to become a social worker. Don't regret it at all.
