Huddersfield stadium - can anyone help?

No idea where to post this. We’ve got a concert at the John Smiths stadium on Saturday. I’m taking ds and friend and dropping them off. Is it easy to drop off and where can I go for a few hours nearby?

There’s a gym and cinema on site so I’d imagine you could drop them somewhere near there? There are a few decent out of town shops/retail park on Leeds Road. Or go into Huddersfield town centre to the Kingsgate centre? If you fancied somewhere a bit more picturesque, you could spend 20 minutes or so driving over to Holmfirth. Depending on timing and how long you have, you could also pop to Leeds or Manchester on the train. You could park near the station and the kids could walk the 20 minutes or so down to the stadium.

When I went to see Take That a few years ago there, my husband dropped me off at the top of Bradley Mills Road so it was just about a 10 min walk approx down to the Stadium (you drive through a housing estate Rawthorpe) its permit parking for residents so literally just drop off. Or drop somewhere off near on Leeds Road.
Personally, I wouldn’t bother with going into Huddersfield, I’d drive to the White Rose Centre.
Is it for Stereophonics, my daughter going too!

White Rose Centre has lots of empty units, it's rubbish at the moment, other than Waterstones that has opened up.

Second the extra drive to Holmfirth!

Yes Stereophonics. Thanks for the advice - conscious it’s a Saturday night so not sure where will be open.

If you'd be happy in an alternative / rock pub (even having soft drinks as obviously you're driving), then I'd strongly recommend The Parish. They do decent food and it's a very friendly atmosphere.

Thanks

Lindley is only a 10 min drive away, nice places to eat and drink.

Any suggestions of a coffee shop type place that will stay open late?

Hope you have a fab night. We had to sell our tickets unfortunately I’m gutted.

Will I be able to park by the cinema if there’s a concert on? I’m debating going to watch a film while I wait.
