Lump on DS’s forearm

My 18 year old DS has just shown me a lump that has come up on his forearm, a couple of inches below his elbow. He says he noticed it a few days ago. It feels softish when pressed and is completely round. I’ve scared myself a bit with Googling and feeling a bit stressed (not that he knows this obviously).

He will make a gp appointment to get it checked but meanwhile any ideas as to what it could be?

@timestressed - I thought they only occurred on your wrists. I hope it is that though.

Probably a lipoma - I have one in the same place! They are benign and v common. Good that he’s getting it checked out though.
