The Nazis have taken over much of Europe and threaten to invade the UK. The war has been grinding on for years, it's brutal and it's time to do something big, something important...

Off the coast of Dover a fleet gathers... Among them an intrepid, brave, selfless young lady called Geraldine Thornbury, ventures forth in her plucky little, but luxurious, dinghy. She is accompanied by a group of people who Care A Lot About Important Things. Armed with a flock of trained pigeons to ensure everyone back at home can know every detail of this important mission, she cares little that the enemy will also keep abreast of her clever plan, she bravely pushes forward to save the people of France and beyond. Her plan? To land at Cherbourg and share the contents of her spiffing picnic basket. After this, who knows, she will probably be thrown into the cogs of the Nazi war machine but least people at home in England will now know for sure there is definitely a war on and Hitler will probably be so embarrassed he will immediately end all hostilities!

Good luck Geri, the hope for the end of this brutal war rests with you! This is way better than expecting our government to making difficult but meaningful decisions to bring the war to an end!!

This is not true. The war finished ages ago. Please don't make light of the sacrifice made by our brave soldiers.
